In this course we will attempt to develop new perspectives on our own identity and that of others through working artistically/dramatically in a foreign language. We will focus on poetry and drama that address the theme of identity in different ways. Working in small groups we will take these texts ›off the page‹ and into performance. We will be working in English, but these are not English lessons and participants should certainly not worry about making mistakes, or about their English not being good enough; this kind of workshop only requires openness and a willingness to experiment artistically in a foreign language.
