Kurzbiografie: Prof. Dr. Peter Lutzker hat Musik und Literatur in den U.S.A. und Deutschland studiert. Er unterrichtet seit 1986 Englisch in Waldorfschulen und ist tätig seit 1990 in der Ausbildung- und Fortbildung für Fremdsprachenlehrer. Er hat zahlreiche Artikel und drei Bücher über Sprache und Fremdsprachenunterricht geschrieben, zuletzt The Art of Foreign Langauge Teaching: Improvisation and Drama in Teacher Development and Language Learning (Francke Verlang: Tübingen 2007). 2010 wurde er als Professor an die Freie Hochschule Stuttgart berufen. <br />

== Kursbeschreibung ==<br />
These sessions will offer an introduction to the possibilities of performing prose fiction as drama. We will begin each session with a range of theatre ‘warm-up’ exercises: afterwards, we will work on a short story (James Joyce’s “The Dead”) and explore the possibilities which chamber theatre offers to bring it ‘off the page’ and into the realm of presentation and performance. (We will be working in English, but these are not English lessons and participants should not worry about making mistakes, or about their English not being good enough; this kind of workshop only requires openness and a willingness to experiment artistically in a foreign language.)<br />
