The other day, I was having an intellectual discourse with John Altmann, the modern day philosopher, perhaps you've heard of his work. Anyway, we got to talking about how our society seemed be dummying down a bit, and human education just was not meeting the future requirements of such a fast paced moving era. We reasoned that we need to find a way to teach people to think again, not just rote memorize information which for the most part will be irrelevant prior, upon, or just after graduation.

Okay so, let's talk about this because John challenged me, and asks; "How do we quantify incentive?" - that is to say, how to we determine the value of thought, original thinking, and creative original genius. Well, here is what I had in mind as I explained to him my theory.

You see, I've often thought that if creative innovation, and ideas were a currency, I'd be on the Forbes 100 list. I think we should reward folks for original thoughts, concepts, and idea. Also elevate status in society for performance and delivery, which capitalism already does if we'd let it do its magic (Adam Smith - Invisible Hand Theory), so maybe a different system with a duality.

A point system, like the internet blog or social networks seem to give out, but few or no points for regurgitation, only points for originality, and I used a recent theory that John came up with, and stated; "let's say it's worth = 20,000 points, and the points are currently equal to $.50 USD. Then you get $10,000 to go get some more ideas, meaning you could buy the latest computer, CAD CAM software and the hardware to drive it."

Then emboldened with this, he could come up with another idea, then another, after all, he is a capitalist creative genius, so, he would keep going and build, dream, think, innovate, create, hell, don't you think that is not worth something to human forward progression? Imagine with the resources what you could come up with over a life span of 70-90 years or more? What if there were a 10 million of you in a society of 300 million, but again what if there were only 1 million? Or even 10,000 can you see the insane advances for human kind.

What if we did incentivize thinking in such a way? What if we rewarded for thinking, not just memorizing in school? What if everyone was thinking, wow, that would be a pendulum shift for humanity, I say; Bring it! So, please consider all this and think on it.
